Independent benchmarks for B2B data providers.

Seven independent benchmarks — email, phone, people, company, intent, jobs and technographic data — so you can pick a provider for the data you actually need. Every provider answers the same frozen test set, every raw response is published, and results are graded blind or against objective truth. Third-party reviews aggregated with sources. No paid placement.

Benchmarks, by data type

Providers are rarely good at everything. Each benchmark isolates one kind of data, with the metrics that matter for it, so you can choose on the dimension you actually buy.

Each provider page combines our benchmark measurements with reviews aggregated from across the web — G2, Capterra, TrustRadius, Reddit and more, every claim linked to its source.

FAQ

What is B2BDataBenchmarks?

Independent, reproducible benchmarks of B2B data providers, split by data type — email, phone, people, company, intent, jobs and technographics. Every provider answers the same frozen test set, every raw response is published, and results are graded blind or against objective truth. No paid placement.

How are providers scored?

Every provider answers the same frozen test set through its native API. Results are graded blind (the judge never sees which provider returned a record) or against objective ground truth, and every raw request, response and judge call is published so the numbers can be independently re-graded.

Is placement paid?

No. There is no paid placement, no affiliate links, and the dataset is released under CC BY 4.0. Providers win some suites and lose others — that is the point.

Methodology

{{ p }}

Every HTTP request/response and every grading call is cached under runs/{{ cat.slug }}/ so the leaderboard can be independently re-graded. Providers that hit quota mid-run are labeled partial; providers that could not run at all are excluded, never scored as zero.

Inputs were verified before the run — real people in the stated roles, real companies behind each domain, confirmed email owners. Results on your own data will be lower: they include input errors we deliberately excluded so every provider was tested on the same, known-correct set.

What we measure

Every metric is objective, reproducible from the published raw responses, and comparable across providers. Six core metrics are shared by all seven suites; the rest are specific to this data type.

Methodology

B2BDataBenchmarks publishes empirical, reproducible benchmarks of B2B data providers — email, phone, people, company, intent, jobs and technographic data. The rules below apply to every suite.

Frozen test sets

Every suite runs against a frozen, versioned test set (queries, companies or people) drawn before any provider is called. All providers answer the identical set within the same time window, via their native APIs, with each query translated to the provider's own taxonomy as faithfully as its API allows.

Clean, verified inputs — by design

Every test set is built from high-quality inputs that were verified before any provider was called: the person exists and holds the stated role, the company is the one behind the domain, the email owner is confirmed. This is deliberate — an equal benchmark needs equal inputs, and inputs we know to be correct. It also means the numbers here are a ceiling: on real-world data, with typos, stale CRM records, wrong domains and ambiguous names, every provider's match rate and accuracy will be lower. We measure the provider, not the noise in your input.

A common core, then suite-specific metrics

Every suite reports the same six core metrics so providers can be compared across data types: coverage (match rate on the frozen set), accuracy (against ground truth), freshness, latency p50 (observed from 300ms to ~10s — asynchronous, validate-at-request providers sit at the slow end by design), pricing per useful result, and API quality (a published rubric covering docs, auth, rate limits, error semantics, SDKs and uptime). Freshness is measured on a stratified profile sample — 50% North America, 50% rest of world (30% Europe, 10% South America, 5% Asia, 5% Africa) — and providers that fetch live at request time carry a “live” badge. Each suite then adds only the metrics that are objective and reproducible for that data type — bounce rate for email, wrong-person rate for phone, predictive lift for intent, expired-job removal for jobs, and so on.

Blind grading and objective truth

Where a judgment call is needed (is this company really fintech?), grading is blind: the judge sees the record, never the provider. Where objective truth exists (does this email verify? does the profile show the person's current employer?), we grade against it directly — no judge to argue with. Empty results count against coverage, not accuracy; the two are reported separately.

Full audit trail

Every raw HTTP request, response and judge call is cached and published, so anyone can re-grade the entire leaderboard without re-spending API credits. Providers that hit quota or plan limits are excluded from that run and labeled as such — never scored as zero.

Review aggregation

Review pages aggregate what real users say across public platforms (G2, Capterra, TrustRadius) and communities (Reddit, Hacker News). Every claim links to its source, summaries are paraphrased rather than copied, ratings belong to their platforms, and pages carry the date they were collected. Providers can request corrections at any time.

Independence

No paid placement, no affiliate links. The dataset is released under CC BY 4.0. Providers win some suites and lose others; publishing the losses is what makes the wins credible.

Done

Not automatic, on purpose: a human has to get access (or request it when there's no self-serve), plug in an API key, adapt the frozen test files to the provider's schema, then run the suites. Leave the details below and we'll take it from there — usually within a few weeks.
